As we know with quantum physics, everything is energy – our body, including our DNA and our emotions too. When we have situations in our life that upset the flow of energy in our body, and we experience emotions, these emotions can become trapped in our energy field.
Trapped emotional energy will always stay somewhere in our physical body and the tissues that lie within that area will tend to fall into resonance with the vibrational energy of the trapped emotion. In other words, those tissues will actually experience that emotional vibration on a continual basis.
What is much more dangerous is the way a trapped emotion adversely affects its host organ or gland. It can lead to a break in the communication circuit linked to this organ or gland, or cause a variety of other disorders manifesting as disease.
Cancer will attack the site of a trapped emotion first. Bacterial or viral infections will target precisely the spots where there is a disturbance in the flow of energy, because the body’s immune system is weakest there. Often trapped emotions lodge in an area that is vulnerable because of a genetic susceptibility, an injury or nutritional deficiency that weakens or imbalances the energy of the body in that area. They can occur at any age and they can even be inherited. Trapped emotions can cause physical pain, acute or chronic, inflammation, congestion, self-sabotage, depression, anxiety, feeling stuck in life and more.
For example, imagine as a small child, you had an incident in which you were at the grocery store and got lost. You may have looked everywhere for your parents but they were nowhere to be found. You were traumatized because you felt scared, anxious and abandoned. If that emotion was strong enough, it may have gotten trapped in a certain part of your body. In the future, you might become quite suspicious about people leaving and sensitive to the idea of people abandoning you.
Emotions have a powerful effect on our psyches, as well as our bodies. Positive emotions generate a sense of lightness and ease of movement. They can manifest as a desire to run, sing, smile and even dance. Negative emotions also generate body responses. They cause our shoulders to slump, our muscles to contract and our blood pressure to rise.
